<sub>Honestly, the contest come up earlier than I thought and because of the last year contest, I'm not really into it^^. However, for some reason, mostly personal reason, I just participate... for fun

Though I can draw modern costumes with style and sexiness, I still choose to stick with classical outlook because I like nobility and elegance. Still, I was twisting it a little bit. My first intention for Raven this year was actually a scholar researching astrology (I thought about it at the end of the last year's contest xD) but then I modified my idea about his outfit into military formal uniform with steampunks decorating around his clothes.

If you notice, his look is very similar to my RF's artworks, especially the hair. Yeah, my inspiration this time was from my own in-game character, or to be exact, my FC Kage Angelo/Gin Rakuen with the content for the costume related to his role and backstory in the project Mirror Fates. In the story, he was a fallen hero of Velder with an extremely cruel fate.

The name of the design is "Wheel of Fortune". Well, I didn't really mean about "luck" here, but about "fate". In Taro cards Major Arcana set, the 10th card is named "Wheel of Fortune", which here I interprets it as "Gear of Fate" (related to Moirai/Moira = Fate) because of the steampunks^^. The chains around his waist are for the tie to fate. Also, the colors for his costume depict the glory he used to achieve once, just like Raven for being a respectable captain but then met his downfall because of betrayal.

The weapon I designed for him this year is a light rapier, I intended to make Raven look elegant and light, but strong and valiant. The handle of the sword is an abstract demonstration of music notes, the "tune" of a person life going up with bliss and happiness and down with sadness and despair. The details are tied with the theme Wheel of Fortune, when you can't predict what you will have in life: fortune or misery.</sub>
